The official suggestion from ASUS is that it is my boot drive, but I tend to disagree with that, because it can boot perfectly OK on occasion and nothing seems to suggest the boot drive. USB devices all seem to be working properly though. I have updated all USB related drivers, or at least I think I have, and no difference. (There are several of these to one each of the others)ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\ASUSFILTER).ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\pci).ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\ACPI).ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\AiChargerPlus).ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\asmtxhci). However, in Win10 I get these warnings in the system log:ĭetected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\ASMTFilter). That's a good point Gonzo, but while Win7 was installed the event viewer showed nothing of any note. I would appreciate any help on this matter at all. I am NOT overclocking in any way shape or form and Windows is installed in UEFI mode. The BIOS is 1502 and is set to optimum defaults. The XP941 was completely reformatted and repartitioned when I installed Win 10 Pro. Since installing Windows 10 Pro, this problem seems to occur on almost every reboot and that includes Windows Update automatically rebooting the machine, it never starts up to finish installing the updates, until I turn off the power supply for 30secs and then turn the machine back on. The only way to get this machine to boot is to turn off the power supply for 30secs and then turn it back on. The Q-code shows b1 which equates to: Runtime Set Virtual Address MAP End. speed, the HDD's initialise, but the video card does not seem to initialise and it does not boot past this point. The machine appears to go through the normal startup procedure, that is, all lights turn on, the fans start up at max. I have had an ongoing problem with my R5E failing to restart after issuing %windir%\System32\Shutdown.exe -r -t 00 from Windows for a long time now and I am getting tired of it.
